Description: The courthouse was severely damaged due to a 1998 tornado. The tower and windows were replaced along with extensive repair work to the interior and exterior of the building. Reconstruction of the Courthouse was started before any construction documents existed due to the need to keep the facility in operation. The government center was an addition onto the existing Courthouse housing several of the County offices and the County courtroom.
